Obituary of Mabilde S. Nunes

Mabilde Santos Nunes Pine Bush, NY Mabilde Santos Nunes, a longtime resident of the area and a retired Custodian in the Pine Bush Central School District, passed away in The Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC on Wednesday November 23, 2016. She was 56. The daughter of the late Alexande dos Santos and Estrela das Neves, she was born on February 12,1960 in Portugal. Mabilde married Antonio Nunes Miranda on December 3, 1977 in Portugal moved from Portugal to Newark NJ in February of 1986. In 1989 they moved to Pine Bush where they she made her home with her husband and her children. Survivors include her children; Paula Isabel Nunes Curran and her husband Sean Patrick Curran of Pine Bush, Nuno M. Nunes of Otisville, Licinio Nunes and his wife Hanneloren of Campbell Hall, Marco Nunes and his wife Dana of Florida; 6 grandchildren, Isabelle Nunes , Patrick and Marie Curran, Ariana Nunes, Logan Nunes, and Mason Nunes. 2 sisters, Maria Porfirio, and Carminda Domingues. 1 brother, Manuel dos Santos. Mabilde is further survived by nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Antonio Nunes Miranda and her brother Arlindo dos Santos. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 29, 2016 from 6-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY 12566. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
