Obituary of Margaret Y. Tremper

Margaret Y. Tremper “Peggy” Pine Bush, NY Margaret Y. Tremper a Retired Town Clerk for the Town of Shawangunk for 38 yrs and longtime resident of the area passed away on Sunday March 5, 2017 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center in Highland, NY. She was 90. The daughter of the late William Yarwood and Margaret Kelly Yarwood, she was born on September 1, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. Peggy was a member of the Walker Valley Catholic Society,G. Paul Bettinger Post, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Pine Bush Area Library Board of Trusties. Survivors include her sons; James Tremper of Pine Bush, Martin Tremper and his wife Victoria of Pine Bush, and Phillip Tremper and his wife Kimberly of Pine Bush, grandchildren; Martin, James, Anneliese, Stella, Christopher, Amelia Tremper, Ryan, Jared, and Ariene Balbach, Steven Smith, great grandchildren; Viviana and Violette Smith, and Riley Balbach, sister; Patricia Russak. Peggy is further survived by many nieces and nephews and is predeceased by her son, Charles Tremper, husband Albert J. Tremper, brothers, William and John Yarwood and sister, Catherine Boxberger. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY 12566. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday March 9, 2017 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour. Burial will take place in Walker Valley Cemetery.
