Mildred A. Lee, a lifelong resident of the area and product inspector at Fair-Rite for 20 years, passed away after a long illness surrounded by family at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown on  May 7, 2017.  She was 85 years old. The youngest of four children, she was born to Henry Scott and Grace Vandemark on October 12, 1931 in Walker Valley. Mildred was married  for 67 years to Alfred L. Lee, Sr.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put family first.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and playing cards and watching the New York Yankees. Survivors include her daughter, Sue Decker and her husband Stephen of Pine Bush, NY, son David Lee and his wife Mary of Middletown, NY., daughter in law, Diane Lee of Walker Valley, NY grandchildren:  Alfred L. Lee III, Walker Valley, NY, Rebecca Decker of Pine Bush, NY, and Sara Barba and her husband Bill of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mildred is predeceased  by her husband, Alfred L. Lee, Sr., son, Alfred L. Lee, Jr., daughter Judith A. Lee, son in law,  David Keese, grandson David Lee II, brother Franklin Scott, sisters,  Minnie LaBarr and  Hilda Botens.
The family would like to thank the staff of Montgomery Nursing Home, with special thanks to Gene and Alicia for their outstanding care of Mildred. Cremation was private.
