William J. Santic, a Retired Sergeant for the NYPD and longtime resident of the area passed away on Friday May 26, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown NY. He was 70.  The son of the late William Santic and Frances Sperauckas Santic he was born on January 28, 1947 in Maspeth, NY. A Veteran, William served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserve during Vietnam. He was employed with the NYPD for over 20 yrs and he also did Security for the New York Stock Exchange. William was a member of the NYC Police Department Honor Legion, the Long Island Shields, The Pulaski Association and the Retired Sergeants Association. Survivors include his wife for 47 years, Ann at home, son, William John Santic Jr. and his wife Rachael of Massachusetts, daughters, Nancy Ann Santic of Middletown, and Susan Frances Perkins and her husband Jeffrey of Pine Bush, Grandchildren, Katherine Ann Santic-Centorcilli of Middletown, Chloe Perkins of Pine Bush, William John Santic III and Patrick James Santic, both of Massachusetts, sister,  Frances Bush of St. James NY, cousin, Susan Bush also of St. James, NY. William is further survived by his brother in law, sister in law, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour, 22 Holland Ave Pine Bush NY. Military Honors will be conducted immediately following the Funeral Mass.
