 Dorothy V. Barbieri, a longtime resident of the area passed away peacefully at her home on Monday November 20, 2017.  She was 91.  The daughter of the late Mate S. Vlahov and Emilia Mikulas Vlahov, she was born on October 8, 1926 in Bronx, NY.  Survivors include her daughter Janet L. Barbieri; son, John C. Barbieri and his wife Chris Harris and her mother, Ida Waloski, “adopted” daughter, Michele Skibneski, best friend, Joan Kiselak and wonderful caregiver and friend Susanne Leissle.   Dorothy is further survived by her loving nieces and nephews (each of whom was “the favorite”) and many wonderful friends, cousins; Ilene Cryderman, June and George Weihrauch, and Mildred Vlahov Denenberg.  She is predeceased by her husband, William J. Barbieri, sister, Vilma Cusack and her husband Tom; brother, Daniel M. Vlahov and his wife Mary.  Visitation will be held on Friday November 24, 2017 from 2-5pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 25, 2017 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour.
