Edmund C. Slesinski, a Retired Carpenter for local 964 and life long resident of the area, passed away on Monday January 8, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 88. The son of the late Bernard Slesinski and Helen Andryshak Slesinski he was born on November 8, 1929 in Goshen NY. Edmund worked on the Black Dirt family farm in Goshen, was an avid coin collector, collector of Hess Trucks, and Guns. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well, and was also a member of the NRA.  Edmund was a  proud member of the Knights of Columbus St. Johns RC Church in Goshen, Church of the Assumption in Maybrook, and St. Paul’s RC Church in Bullville.. Survivors include his daughter, Kim Slesinski of Seminole, Florida, son, Chip Slesinski and his wife, Wendy of Pine Bush, grandsons, Matthew and Timothy Slesinski, sister, Irene Marko of Caldwell NJ, beloved cat, Pretty Kitty, and his ex wife, Philomena Slesinski of Seminole, Florida. Edmund is further survived by many nieces and nephews and is predeceased by his sister, Lucia Urbanowicz. Visitation will be held on Friday January 12, 2018 from 10am-1pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY 12566. Funeral services will be offered at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery.
