Angelo Abatangelo, a retired Supervisor for Con Ed and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Sunday January 14, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 94. The son of the late Alfred P. Abatangelo and Mary Macova Abatangelo, he was born on May 17, 1923 in Bronx, NY. A WWII Veteran, Angelo served his country in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1266 in Wurtsboro, former member of the Knights of Columbus, and a Volunteer for the Hudson Valley Honor Flight. Angelo loved the warm weather and sunshine and working on his tan, while laying out in the backyard with his dog April.  Survivors include his children, Fred Abatangelo and his wife Joanne of Maybrook, Vita Sarvaideo and her husband Paul of Matamoras, PA; Andrew Abatangelo and his wife Patricia of Montgomery, Jeanne Martinez and her husband Gil of Maybrook. Grandchildren; Jacqueline Quist and her husband Jeff, Stephen Abatangelo and his wife Christina, Nicholas Sarvaideo and wife Caitlin, Dana Lenihan and husband Rob, Drew Abatangelo and wife Kim, Leah Sarvaideo and her fiancé Sage, Olivia, Thomas and Matthew. 3 great grandchildren, Logan, Trever, and Ariana, brother, William Abatangelo and his wife Angela of Florida.  Angelo is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by his wife, Julia Abatangelo, sisters, Alma Fiore and Josephine Woodruff, and his brother, Fred Abatangelo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 17, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday January 18, 2018 at 10am at Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church,  211 Homestead Avenue Maybrook, NY 12543. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wurtsboro with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Angelo’s name to the: Hudson Valley Honor Flight, PO Box 375, Walden NY 12586. Arrangements entrusted to the William M.
