Joe and I were classmates in middle and high school. He had a funny and calm way that made him cool! I still use the method he showed me for drawing figures and faces. He also tuned up my chainsaw like a champ. He will be missed by many.

I am sorry for your loss. I knew his father, because my brother and his father restored old cars together on some vehicles. Again so sorry for your loss. George Space Fuquay Varina, NC via Goshen, NY.

Joe and I were friends in school and when we got up to the high school we had the same homeroom for 3 years based on our last names so my one memory of Joe was on the first day of school they said Joseph Murphy and Joe turned around and said my name isn't Joseph it's Joe and the teacher kept not insisting and Joseph with a smile that's what my parents name me not Joseph but Joe and I sat there and Joe had this big old smile on his face and him and I were laughing and then the memory I have a Joey's you always came up to me and asked me about sports because he always told me if there's anybody that had a question or knew the answer to a question it was me and Joe and I would talk about sports and everything he would tell me about his hot rods working on cars and even now before Joe passed last year so I used to ask him how he we're doing on his car he said slowly but surely rest in peace Joe with that infectious smile you always had until we meet again buddy

Sending condolences and all my love to the Murphy Family. I was lucky enough to grow up with the Murphy kids, and I'm so grateful to have happy memories of Joe being an awesome Dad. Whether on the sideline of every soccer game, or hosting the best Halloween parties, to letting me join on a trip to Hershey Park, and sleep over to celebrate New Years Eve in Middle School, Joe was always so kind, welcoming, fun and caring. I hope all those fun times and can help you remember him and smile everyday
