So sad to hear that my good friend Mike Zanetti has left us. We go back a looong way…from Little League teammates (early 1960s!) to high school multi sport athletes to fathers of sons who continued the tradition. I'll never forget the two of us sitting together high up in the bleachers at distant (Kingston, Onteora, etc) away basketball games screaming at the refs (Mike loved yelling: "HOMER!")... while supporting our sons Danny & Ben. We stayed in touch regularly through the ensuing years...communicating almost daily w/ email & Facebook. I miss it! My condolences to Mike’s family…taken too soon. I attended Pine Bush schools with Mike and played sports with him from the time we were youngsters! Mike was a star! Many memories. I ate lunch in the teacher's room with Mike for years. He had a way to lighten each day. I looked forward to being in his company to enjoy his humor. When he started to study to earn certification as an insurance agent and move into the family business, our daily meetings added a new tone to conversations: it was business and a time to learn more about insurance. In addition to teaching science, I became a student of learing about a new world. The family business has been taken over by a son who continues the tradition of friendly, honest, helpful service. I have been a happy customer for years. I always asked about Mike, Sr. when I visited the Pine Bush office. I will always remember Mike in a positive way. Edward Duncanson, Ed.D.

Mike was fun and bubbly. I enjoyed working with him as a colleague in the Insurance industry. We organized many a golf outting for the Agents Association in Orange County for many years. Mike always made it fun. Thinking of you Henia and your boys and sending good thoughts and prayers your way.

I will always remember Mr. Zanetti as an amazing teacher, and all around great guy! He had an awesome sense of humor and got along with all his students! (At least everyone in my class! lol ) We used to call him the Bionic Boob - and I really dont remember why! He is and will always be missed and remembered with a smile! RIP Mr Z!

Condolences to the family. I babysat him and Michalene when they lived on Railroad Avenue as babies. I remember Gramma Goff. she did tailoring in Leilas dry cleaning shop on main st. So sorry for your loss.
