Uncle Rocco was a fantastic uncle and a really great human being. He would always wish me happy birthday, he would show up for my events, and he was always so much fun to be around. I have many, many, many awesome memories of him from quite literally my entire life. Uncle Rocco will be very greatly missed and I'm very lucky to have had an uncle like him.

Everytime I think of this crazy man I think of the time he came to Chili's to have a few drinks while I was bartending and when he left he went out to my car, took off his shirt and proceeded to take pictures of himself on the hood of my car. This man always found a way to crack me up, love you Bro gunna miss you more than you know!

When Mike and I were at Felicia and DJ‘s wedding, we had a nice conversation with Rocco. At one point, Mike complimented the tie he was wearing (the orange and black reminded Mike of the Flyers). Without second guessing and would not take “no” for an answer, Rocco immediately took the tie off and handed it to Mike. Such a little gesture to him, but spoke volumes on who he was and will be remembered. Rocco, just like his family, would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you would appreciate it more.

So many years ago.. when we were both younger.. lol.. using stantion poles to set up his favorite wresting ring in the lobby. We would stay half the night and watch him and the boys do their thing. Omg! The card games in the projection booth until the sun came up.. playing wiffle ball in the parking lot when the weather was nice.. such fun we had.. we spoke about those days so often. And Tom!! Everyone remembers Tom! How he took money right out of Rocco’s suit jacket. A lot of money! I hired Rocco when he was 17.. everytime I got promoted, I promoted him.. when I left, he always called me at closing time to walk him through computer work.. he was so funny.. why don’t you just come in and fix this for me! Knowing if course, that I couldn’t have. Mr. Neal.. how I called rocco the morning that he didn’t come to work after the fire.. it was rocco that went to find him.. I was forever grateful for that. All the funny jokes he would make.. usually inappropriate.. but how we laughed.. wherever rocco was.. usually you would find me too.. I could go on and on and on.. I love you rocco.. and always will.. you went first this time but I will expect you to be right there waiting for me when I get there!! I will hear your laughter for always.. or that “hey Bert” as you walk in my store.. I miss you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rocco- I don’t think we could be any more different (me, an uptight basic b, you, a belligerent animal who’s favorite pastimes included the casino and strip clubs) but somehow we were still so close. I think that’s a testament to you- despite your sarcastic rough exterior, you were so warm and open, and it made people so comfortable and want to be around you. You were so freaking funny. You were also so mean in the best way- like the big brother I never had. Always making fun of me and Jaimie. I’m going to miss you so much. It still hasn’t hit me yet. Love you, you idiot.

The best memory I have is recently when Jen and I ran into him and he asked me when did you have guys have that, “my daughter” I said about 3 years ago. Rocco replied back shut the fuck up no way….you adopted her? I never met her did I….. yea you did as a newborn and again at 1. Rocco replied damn where the fuck was I?? She’s beautiful. Can’t stop laughing about it. Thinking back now.

Rocco, like they say, the good truly die young. Thank you for not only being a good friend but befriending me when I came there and taking me under your wing. We had our share of laughs and you taught me more about cards and tricks than I could ever remember. I’m sorry we didn’t stay in touch as life took us in different directions but I never forgot your sense of humor or your passion. You taught me so much. Thank you and you will be dearly missed.

Oh the number of times I could write in this virtual memory book… let’s see… Remember the time we got in soooooo much trouble for a water gun fight in the house? Mommy was so mad at us “wait until your father gets home” Remember the time you tied my scooter to the back of your bike and we tried to ride down the gravel driveway together? I still have the scars from the rocks embedded into my knee. Remember the time we had to have a race, and I busted my head open on a rock and you saved my life by wrapping my head in your tshirt and taking me back to mommy. Remember the time we blew out a tired doing rinkies in the snow? Remember the time you had to come searching for me when I took too long to get home after I smacked up my car. (My car would overheat every 5 miles because I busted the radiator) Remember the time we were stuck in Atlanta airport for what felt like forever!!
