I first met Vikki in 1971 when her family moved across the street from my family on Rolling Street in Malverne. I was so happy that her family included a girl my own age, her sister Katy, who has been my dear friend ever since. Being close friends with Katy meant that I then had a second family of my own living across the street from me, Vikki shared her interest in photography with me and encouraged me to take photos of my own. As I entered into adulthood, Vikki and her sister Brigitte generously included Katy, her husband Peter, me and our friend Paul in the fun activities that they helped plan with their friends at Met Life. I will forever be grateful to the kindness that Vikki and the rest of her family have shown me over the years and for all the laughs that I have had with them!

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Anna? A: My sister was a very generous, kind, and gentle soul who was always there when you needed her. She would say "what do you need me to do" or "what can I get for you". When our mom died she took over the role of matriarch of the family and was always checking up on us. She was a very doting Aunt who spoiled her niece, nephews and grand nephews. She always inspired the family to live life to the fullest. She was always there for us and showed up to all of our important family occasions. P.S. Her lasagna, eggplant, and homemade spaghetti sauce will be sorely missed. (Especially by Yvonne & Katy!) We will always love and you will be in our hearts forever. Brigitte & Gower, Peter & Katy, Bryan, Alex, Caitlin, Yvonne, Blake, Erik, Will, and Jaxon.
