Mr Knudsen was a great teacher that taught us little punks at Byram Hills how to try to become men. He also taught us a little math along the way but what has stayed with me almost 50 years later is his example of how to live a proper life. He was a big, strong, kind, understanding and when appropriate gentle man. He definitely has left his mark in this world, especially on me. May he rest in deserved peace. Kevin O’Callaghan BHHS 1978

While Math was never my strongest subject in school, I knew when I had good teachers and Mr. Knudsen was a good teacher for me in 11th Grade at Byram Hills (1983-1984). He was fair in the classroom and I do remember him being well respected as a coach. We students were blessed to be taught by men and women of high caliber scholar and character…of which Mr. Knudsen was one. Condolences to his family and gratitude for his life of service.

Mr. "K" was an enthusiastic teacher and led by example. He was part of a grand cadre of special educators at Byram Hills, who saw teaching as a calling and went above and beyond. He lived a good life and touched many students with his enthusiasm for life. Andy Sajor, class of 1970
