I worked with Bob for many years at Shortline. He was always pleasant, I had nice conversations with him, and he was always a gentleman. I thought about him from time to time - I never forgot him. My deepest sympathy to his family-Rest In Peace, Bob.

Bob tried to teach me how to drive a bus over the course of many long afternoons on the backroads of NY and NJ. It didn’t end well for a few trees, a stop sign, and a traffic light near Port Jervis, but I learned a lot about being a man, and trying to become simply good person from a great role model.

I first knew Bob from when I was a kid working at the gates of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Bob was a driver. And then later I knew him in each of our other capacities at the bus company. He was always kind, always dependable, always a team player, always gave the right advice, always a friend. I am warmed to see the rich obituary of Bob’s life . . . because he deserved it. Bob was the man that interviewed and hired me @ Shortline/Coach USA in Feb 1987. We hit it off from that day forward. He gave me a chance with no truck/bus experience because of my growing up on a farm not far from his house. That paid off, I’m still driving bus here after 38yrs! I worked on his vehicles while I was a mechanic then as well. He loved his family,motor home and racing. He also enjoyed Conway Twitty! We called him RVP or fluffy bc of his perfectly groomed hair! He was sharp as a tack, witty and had an infectious laugh. I had the pleasure of working with him for 26yrs and called him my friend. His son married one of my high school friends, he was so proud of his kids and their kids… very sad to learn of his passing. I’m thankful for him giving me a chance and all the lessons he taught me. RIP RVP!❤️ Condolences to his whole family. May God Bless you and comfort you in this difficult time.

Bob was my classmate at St. Al’s and GCHS. I remember when we dragged on Nee Dutch Lsne not long after he bought that new Chevy. Good man that has contributed to a better world.
