James Scott "Jay" Hoadley

Jay Hoadley, 48, of Pine Bush, NY passed away of natural causes on Monday, October 17, 2022 at his home. Jay was born in Middletown NY on December 11, 1973, raised in Bullville, NY and graduated from Pine Bush High School. Following High School, he married and later divorced, worked in various roles and eventually ran his own successful landscaping business. He was also a member of the Bullville Volunteer Fire Company where he attained the rank of Assistant Chief. After a debilitating accident in 2005, he spent a quieter life in Pine Bush, NY. His interests included playing Uno, attending group social activities and working part-time for Home Depot. Jay was a devoted father, brother, son, and friend, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his son, Jacob Hoadley; father James Hoadley; and brother Brian Hoadley. Jay was predeceased by his mother, Barbara A. Hoadley. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 27, 2022 from 1-4pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. Firematic services will take place at 3:30pm with a memorial service immediately following. Interment of ashes will be at a later date in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY.
