Audrey A. Freer (Burkinshaw) entered into eternal rest on July
1, 2013 at the age of 79.
She was born on December 27, 1933 in Middletown, New York to
Andrew and Edith (nee Hart) Burkinshaw. Audrey was a lifelong area
resident. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and
friend to many. Audrey worked as a seamstress for the Manhattan
Shirt Company and was employed at the Middletown School District.
She loved to sew and crochet. Audrey was an avid cook who loved to
bake. She volunteered as a Den Mother for Boy Scout Troop #56.
Audrey will be sadly missed by her three sons: Stanley and his wife
Brenda, Charles, and Robert; her grandchildren: Vanessa Albani and
husband Anthony, Thomas Freer and companion Tara Doolittle,
Kimberly Freer, and Stephanie Freer; great grandchildren: Alex,
Kaitlyn, Olivia, Gaven, and Isabella, as well as her sisters:
Phyllis, Patty, and Katherine and her brother William. There
will be no visitation. Cremation will be at Cedar Hill
Crematory.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience
of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan
