Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Robert W. Bogert Jr. of Pine Bush, NY passed away on February 6th, 2025 at Westchester Medical Center. He was born April, 17th, 1957 in Yonkers, NY to parents Robert and Frances Bogert. Known by Bob to most.

Bob is survived by his mother Frances. His loving wife of 48 (together for 50) years, Catherine. His son, Robert (III) and Stacy Shoemaker. His Aunt Judy.  Siblings Jennifer, Stephen, and Raymond as well as cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Bob graduated from Suffern High School in 1975 while also attending BOCES for his certifications in trades. He worked on and for the NYS Thruway Authority for more than 38 years in a variety of positions, at first pumping gas at a rest area and working his way up, retiring as NY Division Facilities Engineer.

An avid lover of cars and trains. In his youth working on cars extensively including his prized 1967 Chevelle SS. He participated in demolition derbies.  Later in life growing to love putting together model cars and looking for HO scale trains/buildings that reminded him of his youth to work on.

His love of cinema was vast and eclectic, everything from classics like “It’s a Wonderful Life” to Indiana Jones to Hallmark movies to “My Cousin Vinny” to generous helpings of Charlie Brown and Minions, even with the occasionally sprinkled in quote from “Tommy Boy”.

He devoted time and himself to numerous organizations over the years including soccer clubs, little league, Boy Scouts and his church.  Leaving behind a legacy of “kids” that to this day still refer to him as “Coach Bob” or “Mr. Bogert”.
A loyal and devoted friend who would always drop everything to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.
He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
