Joseph Francis Teti, age 75, of Pine Bush NY, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Born March 01 1949 in Bronx New York to the late Joseph J. Teti and the late  Rita Elaine Hogan.

Joseph graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx and from Long Island University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While at LIU he was a brother of the collegiate fraternity Phi Sigma Delta. Joe was an avid sports fan and covered the LIU basketball games for the university newspaper.

His early career included working with autistic and developmentally disabled children for a non-profit in Brooklyn and at Camp Blueberry in Walker Valley, NY. In 1981 Joseph was employed by the State of New York in the Division For Youth at the Chodikee Secure Center in Highland as a Youth Division Aide IV. He was later promoted to Youth Division Counselor and Senior Youth Division Counselor. In 1997 he became the Assistant Director at the Middletown Residential Center. He returned to Highland in 2001 until his retirement. After retirement he was active as a local poll worker and as a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels in Pine Bush, NY. Joseph was a life long Yankees fan and enjoyed watching any kind of sporting event.

Survivors include his partner of 19 years, Alan Horne of Pine Bush, NY, brothers Michael Teti (Karen) of Dallas GA, Patrick Teti (Dana) of Marietta GA, and sister-in-law Robin Teti of Dallas, GA. Nephews & nieces, Bradley, Anthony, Joseph, Stephen, Ryan, Howard, Kaitlyn, and Leslie. His brother Howard Victor Teti of Dallas, GA passed away March 2024.
