I am so so sorry. I have known Donald my whole life. We lived across the field.Donald was such a sweet giving person. Never did I hear him mean or nasty. He would help anyone at anytime. Gone way too soon. Wonderful neighbor and friend always.

My brother in law Donald was a very gentle bear. He was always welcoming with a big bear hug a a "how are you my dear" I have soo many wonderful memories of him with my family before he was lucky enough to meet Roxy and get married, then have a terrific son. You will be missed always, but we know you will be watching over us.

I met Donny when he was laid up in bed from breaking his ankle while coon hunting. No matter how much pain he was in, he always had a smile and an inner kindness that made you immediately love and embrace him.
I used to operate a water system for my folks (a remnant from my dad's contractor days). I experienced my first water main break on the coldest holiday weekend of the year (MLK weekend).
I was able to secure an excavator and a plumber and Brian (my ex) was going to be the laborer. Once Donny heard of my dilemma, he told Roxanne to call me and tell me he'd be there first thing the next morning and true to his word he was. His knowledge, expertise and hard work were not only appreciated beyond words, but were instrumental in the success of this undertaking.
This only confirmed what I knew the very first time I met Donny that he was a great guy, moral individual and a true friend!
God's Speed my friend!

Donny was a gentle giant, one of the nicest, most sincere men I’ve ever met. Even though I haven’t seen him in a couple years, I’ll miss him dearly. So sorry for your loss, Roxanne and Tristen. My prayers go out to you in this most difficult time.
