Elsie L. Frei

February 21, 1925 - August 19, 2025

Elsie Frei, lovingly known as “Gram” passed away at the remarkable age of 100. She was born in Follansbee, West Virginia to John G Dunn and Agnes Deyo Dunn. She lived a full and meaningful life, surrounded by those she loved.

A homemaker at heart, Elsie filled her home with warmth, love, and countless acts of kindness. She was known for never forgetting a birthday or special occasion, always marking the day with a thoughtful note and card. Her beautiful and delicious birthday cakes became treasured traditions for her loved ones. Elsie also had a special love for her birds, caring for them with the same devotion she gave her family.

Elsie is survived by her four children, John K Grattan,(Barbara), Karen Velders, Sharon McKnight, and Kathy Kelly (Buck). She was recently predeceased by her beloved son-in-law, Conrad Velders. She also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren who will cherish her memory forever. A special thank you to her dear friends Rhonda and Robert Rucinski and Judy Powell for their kindness and friendship.

Her life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind.

Elsie’s burial service will be private, held with her family.
