Michael F. Curran

Michael Curran, beloved husband, father, grandfather, University of Notre Dame graduate, and ardent fan, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY. He was 80. The son of the late Howard Curran and Marie Parsons Curran, he was born on November 19, 1944 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. 

Michael was a part-owner of George Thompson Insurance Agency alongside his wife Senta, a partnership that reflected their shared dedication to family and community, a legacy his family will continue to uphold. He loved cruising, finding joy in exploring new horizons, and had a deep affection for animals, especially the many dogs who filled his life with joy, including his treasured Misty and Stormy. His warm spirit and vibrant legacy will live on in all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Senta Curran, and their cherished children, Sean, Kyle, and Erin. Michael was a proud and loving grandfather to Senta, Patrick, and Marie, and held dear his daughter-in-law, Paula, and son-in-law, Travis, who were integral parts of his family. He is predeceased by his daughter, Kelli A. Curran.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday October 29, 2025 from 4-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush, NY. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Michael’s honor. www.stjude.org
