Josephine A. Minieri

Josephine Minieri, 88, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter by her side on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

She was born on April 2, 1937, in the Bronx, New York, to the late Grace and Sal Cappelli, and later lived for many years in Pine Bush, New York. 

Josephine was a truly exceptional mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She will be remembered always for her strength of character, her unwavering faith in God, and her generous heart, as well as her tremendous love for her cherished family and friends. She will be forever missed and deeply loved. May God bless her always, and hold her gently in the Palm of His Hand. 

She is survived by her children, Scott and Leeanne Minieri, and Melissa Moriarty and Gery Meisenzahl; her grandchildren, Anthony Minieri and his wife Christa, Matthew Moriarty, Troy Moriarty, and Courtney Minieri; as well as her great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Troy, Rosana, Mariella, Gianna, and Emma. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marianne Cappelli, and several nieces and nephews.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Joe Minieri, her son Todd Minieri, and her siblings John Cappelli, Nick Cappelli, Angelo Cappelli, and Carolann Pezzullo.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 19, 2025 from 10am -1pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY 12566. Funeral services will be offered at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.
