Brian Fitzsimmons, 46, of Wallkill, New York, passed away on December 28, 2025. Born on March 14, 1979, in Alexandria Bay, New York, Brian brought a unique energy and presence to every room he entered. His life was marked by determination, motivation, and a spirit that was truly one of a kind.

After graduating from high school, Brian pursued technical training at Lincoln Tech. in NJ. With a natural talent for working with his hands and an unrelenting drive to master new skills, he went on to establish his own construction business in 2010—Star Remodeling. Through this venture, Brian did more than just renovate homes; he built trust and lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Known for his ability to fix anything with a motor and his knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, Brian was the go-to person when something needed repair or innovation. And when even he found himself stumped—a rare occurrence—he leaned on a trusted network of plumbers and electricians who he respected.

Brian’s life outside of work was just as full. He found joy boating on Greenwood Lake and snowmobiling through the Adirondacks—activities that reflected his love for speed, nature, and adventure. At home, he could often be found challenging his wife Nancy to spirited games of ping pong in their ongoing friendly rivalry.

Those who knew Brian will remember him as someone unlike anyone else. He had a tough exterior that protected a deeply loving heart—a man who may have seemed cold at first but whose warmth revealed itself in countless quiet ways. His personality left an impression that won’t soon fade.

Brian is survived by his devoted wife Nancy Fitzsimmons, a 20 year relationship that is indescribable; their son Jason Fitzsimmons; niece Jaylynn Fitzsimmons, and his parents Hollie and Joe Fitzsimmons.  Amongst many cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Their lives—and the lives of all who knew him—are richer for having shared time with him.

Living in the Hudson Valley for so long, Brian had a large network of friends. In his last few days on this earth, he was flooded with love and support. Listening to their stories  from their childhood brought a smile to his face.

May Brian’s memory bring comfort to those who loved him and strength to carry forward the legacy he leaves behind.
