Lisa  Ann Frederick Gorman passed away at the young age of 51 on March 6th 2026 after a heroic 8 yr battle with terminal metastatic breast cancer. Although Lisa’s passing brings great sorrow, we are comforted by knowing Lisa is finally free from the suffering she endured with remarkable strength.

Lisa was born on March 13th, 1974 to Harold and Clarice Frederick. Lisa is survived by her mother Clarice Frederick, her sister Donna Frederick Kuhner, her husband Jason Gorman and their three boys, Jason (16), Ryan (15), and Liam (13). Lisa is also survived by two brother-in-laws, two sister-in-laws and sixteen nieces and nephews.

Lisa worked as a S.R.P. within the Pine Bush school district. Lisa very much loved her job and the children she worked closely with. Even when it was suggested that maybe Lisa cut her hours back or stop working Lisa refused.

Aside from the love of her job, Lisa loved being a part of her son’s sports teams. The sports team families were like Lisa’s second family. Lisa was always a big presence and everyone that knew her loved her and you can see this by the continued support her family received when they had their house fire last January and especially now in her passing.

If you truly knew Lisa you would know she would not want any of us to be mourning her but rather to be celebrating her. She would want us toasting drinks to fun memories that we had made with her, playing some Snoop Dog, RiRi, Lady Gaga and the list goes on. She would not want us dressed up but would want us in sweats, hoodies or a sports jersey of our favorite team.

Lisa was always ready for a fun time. She brought a smile to everyone’s face even in the worst of times. She could make you laugh even when you wanted to cry, and when she got you laughing you would laugh until you couldn’t breathe.

Lisa could also be serious when need be and she was never more serious than when she was being a warrior fighting terminal cancer. She fought her cancer with an extraordinary resilience, courage, and will power. Through her battle she has shown the true meaning of strength and determination to her sons.

Lisa lived and breathed for her family and her sons were the very air she breathed. So though we say goodbye to Lisa today, let us continue to honor her legacy by helping others, being there for whoever needs us, and always being kind to others, because that’s how Lisa lived everyday.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush, NY.
