Sally Kelly Longfield Obituary

Sally Kelly Longfield

aka Sally Kelly

March 21,1959 - March 20, 2026

Pine Bush, NY

Sally Kelly Longfield entered into Eternal Rest. Hopefully she went north to be with our Lord and not southbound as she hates the heat. It is also her profound wish that she will find her beliefs were true. Sally is survived by her devoted husband, Roger Longfield, and her loved and cherished son, Rory Kelly Longfield along with her loved pet dog, Braedan Kelly Longfield. Sally will be assuming she will be joining her parents, John and Margaret Kelly as well as her other pets: Daisy Alexandra, Aiden Kelly, Kit Kelly, and Liam Kelly in the great beyond. Sally is eager to see her “sister” Susan Williams Salamone and find out everything going on. She also eagerly awaits reminiscing with her grand parents, great grand parents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Born in Yonkers, NY, Sally grew up in Ossinning, NY, moved to Newburgh, NY and ultimately settled in the Shawangunk/Pine Bush, NY area. She was a NYS certified N-6 and Special Education teacher in Wappingers Falls, NY. She also earned certification in School Administration and supervised in Washingtonville, NY as well as Goshen, NY. Sally enjoyed working with her students the most. She earned a few but was not big on awards and the limelight. Sally preferred orchestrating things behind the scenes. Watching as a practice, she was able to give moving parts to and watch it become an event on its own! Finally, Sally had the good fortune to work for Orange County giving Civil Service tests. Overall, she enjoyed the people and was truly amazed by all the “Red Tape.”

In her community, Sally was PTA President of the E.J. Russell Elementary School in Pine Bush, NY. She taught Religious Instruction at the Church of the Infant Saviour in Pine Bush ,NY and assisted at the Crawford Town Library.

As soon as possible, Sally wants to make it through the gates and meet St. Peter, sign up and complete Wings and Halo school. Although the thought of her as an Angel is amusing, she’s got to try. Like in “It’s a Wonderful Life”, Sally wants to hear the bell tinkle and know she made it. Then knowing she can return to her family and be there for them like they were for her.

“If I could save time in a bottle,

the first thing that I’d like to do

 is to save everyday

til eternity passes away

just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever

if words could make wishes come true

i’d save everyday like a treasure and then

again, I would spend them with you...”
