Michael David Starr Jr., passed away on June 5, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was 47. The son of Michael D. Starr Sr. and Christy Flanagan, he was born on April 24, 1979 in Middletown, NY. 

Mike was a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend whose wife and children were the center of his world. He took great pride in his family and treasured every moment spent with them. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will remain in their hearts forever.

Known for his remarkable ability to fix just about anything mechanical, Mike was the person family, friends, and neighbors could always count on when something needed repair. He approached every challenge with determination, skill, and a willingness to help others.

Mike also found great joy in fishing and spending time outdoors. Whether he was casting a line, enjoying nature, or simply being with those he loved, he appreciated life's simple pleasures and made lasting memories with family and friends.

Mike's kindness, sense of humor, strong work ethic, and generous spirit touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will live on.

Survivors include his wife Jennifer Starr , sons, Caleb Starr and Noah Starr and step sons Aiden Anderson,  Cody Browne, and Tyler Browne. Mike is further survived by his parents Michael Starr Sr. and Christy Flanagan,  brothers, Mathew Starr and Mitchell Starr along with many family members and friends who will cherish his memory forever. Forever loved, forever missed, forever remembered. A Celebration of Michaels’s life will  be held on Sunday June 14, 2026 from 1-4pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. Memorial services will take place at 3:30pm at the funeral home.
