Mary Slawinski, a retired waitress for Guilio’s Restaurant in Tappan, NY and 44 year resident of Pine Bush, passed away on Saturday July 25, 2026 in Liberty, NY. She was 98. The daughter of the late Peter Petrosky and Mary Petz Petrosky, she was born on June 26, 1928 in Jermyn, PA. Mary was known and loved for her home made from scratch Perogies and Stuffed Cabbage and up until last month, she could be seen mowing a 5 acre property!

Mary is survived by Stephen and Joanne Slawinski, Karen Slawinski of Pine Bush, Frank and Linda Slawinski of Pine Bush, and Brian Slawinski of Pine Bush, Grandchildren Stephen, Michelle, Craig, Zachary, Frankie, VJ. and Alisa, Great Grandchildren Brayden and Declan.  She is predeceased by her husband Frank, and her daughter Barbara Slawinski of Wurtsboro.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 1, 2026 from 10am-12pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY.
