James "Jim" Cappadora of Pine Bush, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the age of 61 after bravely fighting an unexpected 11-week battle with pancreatitis. Jim's family was with him the whole way, never leaving his bedside.

Born in Middletown, NY to the late Morris and Martha Cappadora, Jim dedicated over 30 years of his life to serving adults with disabilities at AHRC/ARC. After moving to his new home in the Poconos, he spent the last four years of his career working for Matrix Behavior Solutions.

Jim was a loving father to his children, Julianne and James, and daughter-in-law Victoria. He was a proud grandpa to Archie and Dax, who brought him so much joy, and a beloved baby brother to his siblings, Patricia Bader and Frank Cappadora, and brother-in-law Donald Bader. He was also a cherished cousin, uncle, and friend to so many. Words cannot describe how much he will be missed by all.

A lifelong Yankees fan and a lover of music and film, Jim will be remembered for his sarcastic humor and for always making his friends and family laugh around the table, especially at Christmas.
