Katherine Ellen Otis (nee Smith)

Pine Bush, NY

Katherine E. Smith, a longtime resident of the area, departed this world at home in Pine Bush, NY on August 21, 2026 after a long illness. She was 73. The daughter of the late James Trevor Smith and Madeline Tubman Smith, she was born on November 15, 1952  in the  Bronx , NY.  Katherine was a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury Class of 1970 and was a retired employee of the Orange County Department of Social Services. She is survived by her beloved son, Sean of Pine Bush, NY.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
