My sincerest condolences to the Gillespie family. Dottie Gillespie was a shining light of Pine Bush! I only have wonderful memories of her, always positive, strong, loving and happy. She loved everyone around her and made you feel special every time you talked to her. It was always a treat to see her dance, she was light as air and made it look easy- a smile on her face the whole time! The love she had for her family was the strongest. She and and your father had an amazing love for one another, they were always smiling when you saw them together. I have a memory of the two of them dancing at a dinner party at the High View Inn. They were beautiful and you could tell they were enjoying every minute of the dance. I have a picture of them hugging each other after the dance. She was in a lovely red chiffon dress.
The Gillespie family is in my thoughts. XXXOOO

Dear Su,Jeffrey and Craig,
My heart is full. I loved your Mom and am so grateful that I got to visit her briefly when I was in New York last fall. It was way too short of a visit. I do have a few pictures..one was a picture I took of her black and white "Old Gold" that was on her wall! Your Mama was at my wedding in 1977 and she has cheered me on whenever our paths crossed. She was one of those rare adults who could connect with kids in a respectful way..never talking down..always lifting up. She believed in me when I did not. I auditioned in 8th grade in the Spring of 1969 to the song "Down Town". I am 60 years old and can still remember that particular choreography (well most of it!) I saved my own money to buy those white boots and I sewed that pleated skirt myself (ok with help!) You were supposed to be 5' tall to make the team..fortunately I grew over the summer. We were numbered by height with #1 and #12 positions being the shortest. I was #1 for 4 years! so may great memories...and so great to reconnect with your wonderful Mom last year. Thank you three for sharing her with so many other young people over the years. She truly made a difference in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all who loved her. I am sure she was thrilled to be dancing with her beloved Reub again. Love, Bett(Betty Ann) Union-Jakubek

Mrs. " G " was the most amazing person and was very special to me and so many people. My fondest memories of being so blessed to be a part of " Bandfront " and the many high school musicals will always hold a special place in my heart. Those memories were the best ! She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing as well as her family .Her smile and many talents will always be remembered . She will surely be dancing in heaven with her beloved Reuban : ) My thoughts , love and prayers to Craig, Sue and Jeff and families.

Dottie or Mrs. G. as we so fondly called her, was almost like a second Mom! I still remember the box of Dum Dum lollipops she kept in the little wooden box in the kitchen. I remember her singing a thanks to my mom for a favor....always with a laugh and smile! And the plays and productions in her backyard!!
And I now tell stories of her to my grandkids of the years as a Bandfront Girl!
Jesus has welcomed home one of his more talented Angels, that's for sure!
Love to Suzanne, Jeff and Craig
