Obituary of Walter F. Lyons

Walter F. Lyons "Wally" Pine Bush, NY August 27, 1965 ~ October 25, 2013 A beautiful man whose personality shined the brightest whenever he wore camo, and could be counted on for his smile, kind words, a laugh, and a strong handshake ended his journey here on Earth on October 25, 2013. At his young age of 48, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all around outdoorsman. Before departing Walt managed to pass on his love of the outdoors to his daughter, Ashley, and two sons Walter "Wally" and Gage. Walter was born the eldest son to his mother Margaret "Cookie" Lyons, and his late father Walter H. Lyons. He leaves behind his younger brother Steven, and his wife Kate, and his baby sister Lori Pinckney, and her husband Bob. Walt spent the last twenty-two years of life married to his best friend, Anna M. Jeltsch-Lyons. They were the loves of each other's lives; the lilies of each other's valleys, and will continue to be so even through Walt's parting. Even though he is physically absent from our lives Walter will continue to live on through his wife and three children, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing such an amazing man. Through his death Walter will continue to help those in need by opting to donate his body through The US Organ Donation Program http://www.organdonor.gov. Visitation will be held on Monday October 28, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY. Services will be conducted at 8:30pm at the funeral home with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Cremation will be private.
