Dominic, a World War II veteran and a resident of the area for
28 years passed away at Middletown Park Manor health care center in
Middletown on September 3, 2013. He was 97. The son of the
late Thomas Milano and Lucy Vietello Milano, he was born on April
23, 1916 in the Bronx N.Y. Dominick drove a bus for the Red
and Tan lines for 28 years, was an avid Yankee fan and saw Babe
Ruth hit a home run at Yankee Stadium. From the time he was a
young boy right into his seventies, motorcycles were his passion.
He won trophies racing motorcycles and even met his wife,
Eleanor, while riding. Dominick was also a member of St. Paul's RC
Church in Bullville. Survivors include his brother Peter Milano,
his two daughters: Rita Munkelt of Burlingham and Diane McCartha
and her husband Tom of Bloomingburg. His grandchildren Greg
Munkelt and his wife Doreen of Circleville, Tara Baccello and her
husband John of Bloomingburg, Kenneth Munkelt and his fiancée Erin
Sullivan of Newburgh, Jamie Kahn and her husband Eric of Rock Hill
his great grandchildren Tyler, Tori, Blake and Brennen Baccello,
Nicholas Kahn and Janine Johnson. He was predeceased by his
wife Eleanor Milano whom he was married to for 55 years as well as
his brothers Thomas and George, his sister Philomena Bruno and his
son-in-law Richard Munkelt. Visitation will be held on Sunday
September 8, 2013 from 2-6pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home
Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be offered on Monday September 9, 2013 at 10am at St. Paul's
RC Church in Bullville, NY. Burial will take place in Bloomingburg
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN
38105-1942. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral
