Anthony P. Moriano
Montgomery, NY
Anthony Peter "Tony" Moriano passed away at his home on Friday,
July 19, 2013. He was 63 years old. Tony, a lifelong resident of
Orange County was born in Middletown on June 21, 1950, and was the
first son of the late Anthony Moriano and Antoinette Darrigo
Moriano. He attended Pine Bush High School and then did a tour of
duty in the US Army in Korea. Upon returning home he married
Francesca and subsequently had two daughters, Nicole and Danielle.
He was the owner and operator of Valley Supreme Liquors where he
developed knowledge of wines and was a familiar face to his
customers until his illness forced him to retire. In his younger
days, Tony had a local band where he played bass. His passion for
music continued throughout his life and he maintained strong
opinions about the current music scene which he would share with
whoever would listen. Tony also was an avid sprint car racing fan
and attended races all over the U.S. with his family. He could tell
you the stats on most of the drivers. He had definite views on any
area that interested him. He was also a kind and vulnerable man
which was particularly evident in his love of animals. Many a stray
would pass by his door and find a meal and sometimes even a
permanent residence. He is survived by his wife of over 30 years,
Frances and his two daughters Nicole and Danielle , all of whom he
adored. He also leaves behind his two brothers, Michael and Carl
Darrigo, a sister in law Toni Darrigo, and two sons in law Bryan
Spottke and Alan Melanson. Visitation will be held on
Thursday July 25, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan
