Obituary of Lisa M. Teigland

Lisa Sinclair Teigland Walker Valley, NY Lisa Sinclair Teigland of Walker Valley, NY passed away on January 25th, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 50 years old. Born on December 19th, 1963 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Margaret E. Sinclair and late James H. Sinclair and grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and moved to Walker Valley in 1969. She is predeceased by father James (Jimbo) Sinclair, her beloved grandmothers Margaret T. Sinclair, Margaret E. Fisher. Her grandfather George P. Fisher, her great aunt Katherine (Kitty) Flatley, her aunts Dolores (Lolly) Sinclair, and Jessie Fisher, her uncles; George Fisher and Sy Adler and cousins, Michele Morrissey and Billy Cassidy. Lisa met her beloved husband Chuck in Walker Valley, they married in 1998 and celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on December 04th. She is survived by her heartbroken family, including her husband Chuck Teigland; her children Christy DeJong, Colleen Sinclair and Adam Teigland of Walker Valley. Lisa's siblings include Maggi Sinclair Grannis and her husband Paul, of Walker Valley, Tracey Deserto and her husband Paul of Walker Valley, Bryan Sinclair and his wife Danielle of Las Vegas, NV, Keith Sinclair of Brooklyn. Her sister-in-law Barbara Teigland Duff, and her husband Richard. Her aunts and uncles Ann & Charles Gilmurray of Tucson, AZ; John Fisher of Brooklyn; Barbara Adler of Brooklyn; Inger Lise O'Donnell of Rockaway Park, Her precious nieces and nephews include Elissa Kennedy and her husband Dan of Davis, CA. Sera Mance and her husband Sam of Walker Valley. Kathryn, Amy and Nicholas Deserto of Walker Valley, Matt and Jennie Duff of Manassas, VA. Her adored great nieces and nephews include Sierra, Dylan and Alex Kennedy, Julia and Cora Mance. She always held a special place in her heart for her wonderful cousins; Gladys, April and John, Diane and Thomas, Joan and Tom, Kelly and Greg, Sky and Shannon, Frank and Sue, Della and her children: Caitlin, Liam and Muireann, Patty, Alice, Lowell, Kaare and Barbara. Lisa was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She had a special way of touching so many lives with her warm heart, compassion and beautiful smile. Lisa had an amazing faith in Jesus and as she fought this dreadful disease she said "I'm not afraid, it's in God's hands". She was still finding a way to make everyone feel that it would be alright. Her beautiful spirit, her huge heart will be sadly missed by so many. The family would like to send our sincere appreciation to the amazing nurses at Orange Regional Medical Center. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday February 1, 2014 at the Church of the Infant Saviour, 22 Holland Ave Pine Bush, NY 12566.
