Rose DiMiceli, Seamstress and longtime resident of the area
passed away on Saturday September 28, 2013 at Orange Regional
Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was 94. The
daughter of the late John Vengalli and Catherine Corbo Vengalli,
she was born on September 23, 1919 in Manhattan. Rose wanted
to become a nurse but instead became a seamstress making
dresses and wedding gowns for designers in New York City.
Rose's talent was so amazing, she had an opportunity to design
clothes in France. Rose thoroughly enjoyed reading and cooking.
Rose was a member of the American Legion Post 1308 Ladies
Auxiliary, and the County Legion being past president of both, Vice
President of Walker Valley Seniors and Past President of the Pine
Bush Civic Association. Survivors include her granddaughters;
Michele Robinholt and her husband Mark of Pine Bush, Lisa DiMiceli
of Pine Bush and Danielle Morris and her husband Robert of
Middletown, daughter in law; Maureen DiMiceli of Pine Bush, sister;
Marie Anstey also of Pine Bush, great grandchildren; Mason and
Brianna as well as many nieces and nephews. Rose is
predeceased by her husband Salvatore DiMiceli, her son Salvatore B.
DiMiceli, and her brothers, Michael and Salvatore Vengalli.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 3, 2013 from 2-4 &
7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd
Pine Bush NY. Funeral Services will be offered on Friday
October 4, 2013 at 10am at the funeral home with Fr. Kevin
Gallagher officiating. Burial will take place in the family
plot at St. Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery. Memorial contributions
can be made to the American Legion Post 1308 PO Box 651 Pine Bush,
