Russell G. Futrell a retired UAW for Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ and longtime resident of the area passed away at  home on Monday July 10, 2017. He was 80. The son of the late Herman Futrell and Zoa Thigpen Futrell, he was born on February 28, 1937 in Beulaville, North Carolina. A Veteran, Russell served his country from 1956-1958 in the U.S Army. He was a member of Graham’s Presbyterian Church, the Pine Bush Volunteer Ambulance Corp and the Hopewell Cemetery Association. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years Patricia at home, his 5 children, Russell R. Futrell and his wife Adrienne of Pine Bush, Richard W. Futrell and his wife Susan of Pine Bush, Thomas Overton and his wife Roseann of New Jersey, Tedd Overton and his wife Edwina of Pine Bush, and Amy Overton-Richner and her husband Robert of Colorado, 13 beloved grandchildren and 1 sister, Doreen Futrell-Tyree of North Carolina. Russell is further survived by many nieces and nephews and is predeceased by his brothers, Joe and Tony Futrell and his sister, Silvia Davis. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 15, 2017 from 10am-12pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.1525 Burlingham RD Pine Bush, NY. Funeral services will be offered at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Howard Dalton officiating. Burial will take place in Hopewell Cemetery.
