Joan M. Keller, a Seamstress and longtime resident of Walker Valley, passed away on Friday December 1, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 85.  The daughter of the late Charles Spitzfaden and Emilie Pauline Spitzfaden, she was born on May 19, 1932 in Queens, NY. Joan was a member of the Mountainview United Methodist Church in Walker Valley, the Walker Valley Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary, Sweet Adeline’s and “Song of the Valley” local Chorus. Survivors include her husband, Bill at home, 3 children; John Keller and his companion Karin Poggio of Highland Mills, Bill Keller III and his wife Nancy of Middletown , Marianne Keller and her companion Richard LaPreziosa of Arcata, CA, 7 grandchildren; Kristalee, Jeremiah, Analee, Jared, John Jr., Shane, and Emma; 1 great grandson; Bradley, sister, Marilyn Bouchard of Anthem, AZ, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 5, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Road Pine Bush NY 12566. Funeral services will be offered on Wednesday  December 6, 2017 at 11am at The Mountainview United Methodist in Walker Valley with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating. Burial will take place in Walker Valley Cemetery.
