Clarence Dickerson Bement, a Retired System Analyst with IBM and lifetime resident of the area passed away on Sunday June 3, 2018 at Montgomery Nursing Home. He was 81. The son of the late Norwood Bement and Olive Dickerson Bement, he was born on January 22, 1937 in Middletown, NY. A Veteran, Clarence served his county in the US Army from 1962-1966. He was a member of the American Legion G. Paul Bettinger Post 1308, Little league Baseball, Grand Jury Association, Pine Bush Fire Police and Pine Bush Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joan at home, sons, Scott Norwood Bement of Florida, and Jerry Bement of Pine Bush, sisters, Margaret ,Sally, and Nancy. Clarence was predeceased by his brother, Fred Bement. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
