Richard T. DeWitt a Rod Operator for Nexans in Chester and a life long resident of the area, passed away on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. He was 60. The son of  Hilda M. Cragen DeWitt and the late Alfred W. DeWitt he was born on November 22, 1957 in Kingston NY. Richard was a BOCES graduate in Automobile Mechanics and a 1976 Graduate of Pine Bush High School. Survivors include his mother Hilda of Pine Bush, and his brother Alfred DeWitt and his fiancé Nancy Butler of Otisville. Richard is also survived by his companion Ellen Davidson of Pine Bush and his cousins. As per Richards wishes cremation was held privately and at the convenience of the family.
