John J. Harper
February 28th, 1960 - March 10th, 2021
John J. Harper passed away peacefully with his beloved family surrounding him at his home, on March 10th, 2021. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and did not back down, until his very last breath. John was a loving man who always looked for a good time. He was the guy who would take the shirt off of his back for anyone. John was an amazing father, grandfather, and friend.
John may not have been perfect to the world but was perfect to his one and only son, who truly loved him. He always found the beauty in life. John enjoyed passing his time in the outdoors, from taking walks daily, being in the mountains, listening to the ocean sounds, capturing the sunrise and sunset, to fishing in his favorite spots. He loved to keep busy with his hands. He was a lifelong mechanic and always loved to lend a helping hand. He truly enjoyed anything with wheels. John especially loved taking bike rides with his family. He lived an adventurous life seeking the thrill of it. In these later days of his life he truly cleansed himself and tried to instill wisdom and knowledge to all those around him. He will truly be missed and his legacy will be carried on.
Survivors include his son, Andrew J. Harper, daughter-in-law, Jamie Harper, grandchildren, Logan and Adalie Harper from Ellenville, NY, his mother, Carol May Collard of Campbell Hall, NY, brother Dan Jr. Harper, and sister-in-law Ann Harper from Pine Bush, NY, sister, Ann Bradley and brother-in-law Alan Bradley, of Campbell Hall, NY, sister Evelyn Harper from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, loving nieces and nephews and many friends.
