Obituary of Florence Foerster

Florence Foerster Florence Foerster, a homemaker and 18-year resident of the area, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at home with her family by her side. She was 89. The daughter of Constance Stehle and Lillian Theiss Stehle, she was born December 31, 1915 in Ridgewood, Queens. Florence was a member of the Pine Bush United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Post 229 in Queens, N.Y. She was the widow of Henry Foerster. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley LaFratta, at home; her grandson, Michael LaFratta and his wife, Sherrie, at home; and three great-grandchildren: Amanda, Noel, and Alec. In addition to her husband, Henry, she was predeceased by her great-grandson, John David LaFratta. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, N.Y. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Hewitt officiating.
