Steven William Doolittle, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away peacefully after a long battle with chronic illness at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh on Wednesday March 9, 2022. He was 44. The son of late Kenneth George Doolittle and Diana Williams Doolittle, he was born on June 5, 1977 in Newburgh, NY. Steven worked and managed various restaurants throughout his life as well as working with NYS Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer for Shawangunk Correctional Facility from 2009-2013. Steven enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors as well as spending time with his family. Survivors include his two children; Madelaina Doolittle and Steven A. Doolittle, his brother; Micky Doolittle, his nieces and nephews; Kenneth Charles Doolittle, Cheyenne Doolittle, Michael Doolittle and Jasmine Doolittle. Steven is predeceased by his mother; Diana Doolittle, father; Kenneth Doolittle and brother; Joshua Doolittle. The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life.
