Henrietta Frey
Middletown, NY

Born on April 15, 1944, in Greenock, Scotland, Henrietta Frey, nee Taggart, passed peacefully to be with the Lord on May 3, 2022, while holding her daughter Sue’s hand. She was 78. Hetty, as she is known to her family and friends, emigrated to the US and actualized the American dream. Working as a bookkeeper, raising a family, her hobbies were walking, dancing, and golf. Loved and admired by many, she will be deeply missed. Our most grateful thanks to the staff at Braemar Living at Wallkill who provided exceptional care through this journey and for all the love and support shown to our family. Thanks also go to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan for their support and care. Survivors include her three children, Susan Bahrenburg (John), Gillian Kaiser (George), and Mark Dolfini (Jennifer), grandchildren Eliza, Sydney, Daniel, John, Leland, and Logan, brother Martin, aunt Margaret, cousin Maggie, and her dear friends Tony Mellino and Robert Galloway. Henrietta is also survived by family in Scotland.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 5-8 pm at William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY. A celebration of Hetty’s life will take place Friday, May 6, 2022  at 11:00 am at Scotchtown Presbyterian Church, 367 Blumel Road, Middletown, NY.
