Florine L. Doviak, age 88, a lifetime resident of Pine Bush passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 23, 2022.  The daughter of the late Chester and Thelma (Zabriskie) Kain she was born in Middletown, NY on March 17, 1934.  A graduate of Pine Bush High School, she spent her life raising her children and working in the local insurance offices of the George Thompson and the Paul Sehrig Agencies. In retirement, Florine enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included: reading, needlework, travel, watching  Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  She was a NASCAR fan and rooted for her favorite team, the Buffalo Bills. Florine is survived by her sister Fay (Donald) Thorn,  her children: Nadine Hubner; Michael (Christine) Doviak; James Doviak and partner, Jeff Penner; Charles F. (Kimberly) Doviak; Patricia (Matthew) Gida; Robert (Sophia) Doviak; Stasie (Mark) Harget, and Richard (Michelle) Doviak. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many honorary children who fondly called her “moon baby”. Florine is predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Charles P. Doviak, son, Frederick; sisters ,Jean Futrell, Lois DuBois, and Marie Kapp.  Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY.  Funeral services will be offered on Saturday, May 28, 2022  at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at New Prospect Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Charles.  In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the New Prospect Cemetery Association,  PO Box 902, Pine Bush, NY 12566, to support their continuing improvements and restoration efforts.
