James Gluszak of Walker Valley/Pine Bush, NY returned “home” on June 18, 2022, surrounded by family. He was 70. The son of the late George Gluszak and Joan Krause Gluszak, he was born on June 7, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY. A true lover of nature, James was happiest near the water…whether oceans, seas, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, streams or ponds. He loved fishing, rowing, kayaking, boating and ice fishing. He also loved heavy equipment and as an engineer was always looking to improve everything. James literally loved to move mountains and create water habitats. He leaves behind a dual legacy of beauty. The first is the physical landscape that includes masses of daffodils and the creation/restoration of ponds at home and in the community. The second is the beauty of his spirit which lives on in all those whose lives he has touched and changed forever. May he now Rest In Peace from the labors of this life. Survivors include his wife, Patricia at home, his son Mark, daughter-in-law Colleen and his four granddaughters; Brooke, Bridget, Briar and Breslin. He was predeceased by his son, Gregory. The family will receive guests on Wednesday, June 22nd 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at William Gagan Funeral Home in Pine Bush, NY. Funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Infant Saviour on Thursday, June 23rd at 10:00 am, followed by interment at Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville, NY.
