Obituary of Josephine Chiesa

Josephine Chiesa, a longtime resident of the area, passed away on Thursday December 10, 2009 at ORMC Horton Campus. She was 91. The daughter of the late Andrew Caliente and Concetta Rozza Caliente, she was born on May 3, 1918 in Queens, NY. Josephine owned and operated the Sun Rise Inn, located in Pine Bush with her husband Joseph. She was a member of the Church of the Infant Saviour and Our Lady of the Valley, the Pine Bush Seniors, the Walker Valley Seniors, and the Pine Bush Ladies VFW Auxiliary 597. Survivors include her brothers Armando Caliente of East Meadow, NY and Anthony Caliente of Astoria, NY, nieces Mary McCoville of Flushing, NY, Linda Pisciotta of Little Neck, NY, and Judy Livoti of College Point, NY, nephew Robert Napolino of Valley Stream, NY and many nieces and nephews, and friends. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Joseph Chiesa, and her brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 13, 2009 from 1:00-4:00pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham RD, Pine Bush, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday December 14, 2009 at 10:00am at the Church of the Infant Saviour, with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Entombment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, in East Elmhurst, NY. Arrangements entrusted to the William M.
