John Francis Carnevali Jr, a 23 year resident of Pine Bush, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 29th 2022. He was 64. The son of  Dr. John Francis Carnevali and Catherine Hanlon Carnevali, he was born in Rochester, Minnesota on February 8, 1958. John was a loving father, and a caring friend. Always with a happy disposition, he was quick to laugh and he loved a good joke.  He enjoyed playing the drums, driving his ’77 Corvette,  going to Yankee games, and spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Perceus. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include  his wife Lauren McKay Carnevali and their son, John Carnevali III ; his sisters, Cathy Cherubini (Jay Cherubini)  and Karyn Carnevali,  a brother, Thomas Carnevali (Gigi Carnevali), mother-in-law Barbara Palinkas, (Daniel Coykendall),  sisters-in-law Kelli Palinkas Greer (J. Gregston Greer),  Jodi Palinkas (David Levine),  brothers-in-law Andy Palinkas (Bev Brownsell), and Chris Palinkas (Julie Palinkas), cousins Paul “Skinny” Carnevali (Grace Carnevali), JB Carnevali (Cindy Carnevali), Joann Fiore (Dave Fiore), Carol Ann Diotalevi (Eddie Diotalevi), John Sibilia (Carrie Sibilia), and Aunt Carol Sibilia, and several nieces and nephews.John was predeceased by his son, Kenneth McKay,  uncle, Sam Sibilia and nephew, Thomas Carnevali. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1-4pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd,  Pine Bush, NY. Funeral services will take place at 3:30pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his family or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
