Stanley
D. Freer entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2013 at the age of
86. He was born on November 9, 1926 in Middletown , New York to
Leroy and Edith (nee Decker) Freer.
Stanley
was a life long area resident. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Stanley was a long time
member of the Carpenters and Joiners Union. He was an avid
sportsman and a member of the Walker Valley Sportsmen Association
as well as numerous conservation groups. Stanley was a member of
Middletown Elks Lodge #1097 and a volunteer firefighter for the
Middletown Eagle Engine Company #2. He was a Cub Master and
Webelo Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #56.
Stanley
will be sadly missed by his wife, Audrey Freer (nee Burkinshaw),
three sons: Stanley and his wife Brenda, Charles, and Robert; his
grandchildren: Vanessa Albani and husband Anthony, Thomas Freer and
companion Tara Doolittle, Kimberly Freer, and Stephanie Freer;
great grandchildren: Alex, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Gaven, and Isabella,
and his brother Herbert Freer. He was predeceased by his sister
Louise Gavlick. There will be no visitation. Cremation was
held at Cedar Hill Crematory. Funeral services will be held
privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted
