Cousin Conrad knew I loved the birds. He would occasionally drop by with a feeder for me to hang. However, one time he stopped by with a beautiful house he made for me. It was an actual log house for birds. I still have it to this day. The roof collapsed but my husband just made a new roof out of cedar and rehung it for me. Thank you to my bird cousin Conrad.

Conrad knew I loved birds. He took that to heart. He showed up with a bird feeder to add to my collection. A huge one. He actually came over one day, and had made me a log cabin bird house. Still have them hanging waiting to feed and house the birds at my house.

With a simple smile
A gentle touch
You gave us everything
The warmth of your heart
Resounding from within
Its so hard to let go
When you mean the world to me
Yet the twinkles in your eyes keep shooting stars across the skies
I'll miss you, love
And all your colors keep shining through the darkest day
You'll never fade away
Never fade away

Marcella and family,
Our deepest condolences to all of you on the loss off such a dear man. He will be missed by many and the impact he had on all of us will forever remain.
Love, Kim and Mary Ann Marcantonio
... A friendship of nearly sixty five years that started when we were kids, into adulthood and will remain in our hearts forever. We hunted, fished, worked in the garage for countless hours. It seemed like when we hunted he was the only one who got anything. When we fished again he caught most of the fish. In the garage he always was the one who could fix anything. I don't know if we had a "normal" friendship. There was the "Dune Buggy" incident in the field behind the garage. I was driving and he was hanging on to the roll bar, he fell off and I ran him over breaking his leg. Then we had the "motorcycle side car" incident. I was thrown out after making a turn from Route 32 onto his lane. The speed was far greater than we should have been going (I won't go into why we were going that fast). The side car wasn't finished, no seat (I sat on a piece of 2x6, no fender and basically nothing to hold on to). I ended up very bruised and bleeding but nothing broken. When I walked up the lane he was sitting in the garage smiling and said it was pay back for me breaking his leg.
I'm sitting here typing our old memories with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. Moving away never ended the friendship with frequent phone calls and the few visits that were never enough we remained connected and talked of what was going on in our lives. Conrad I will really miss you.
