Shirley M. Leissle (Peterson), aged 78, peacefully passed away in the embrace of her family on the morning of June 7, 2023, at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, NY. She was born on October 7, 1944, in the beautiful town of St. John's on Saba, Netherlands Antilles, to her loving parents, Lloyd and Pansy Peterson of Windwardside, Saba.

Shirley's professional journey led her to the New York Bulova Watch Company, where she dedicated many years of her life. Later, she transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry, working diligently for several renowned companies. After retiring, Shirley embraced the role of a devoted homemaker, pouring her love and care into her family. Her presence brought immense joy to her four grandchildren: Kristine, Emily, Ryan, and Justin.

In addition to her cherished grandchildren, Shirley leaves behind her two children, Neil and Wendy. She possessed a gentle and compassionate soul, always valuing personal connections and displaying a genuine affection for animals. Shirley's commitment to family was unwavering, evident in her daily interactions with relatives and her continuous ties to her beloved Saba.

Her passing creates a void in the community's information network, as she was an irreplaceable link. Shirley will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
