Vito N. DiGirolamo Jr. age 66 passed away on October 10th 2023.  He was born  January 18th, 1957, in New York, NY, the oldest son of Vito N. Sr. and Adeline DiGirolamo of Bloomingburg, NY. Vito worked for the school system for 10 years and was a New York State Correctional Officer for over 30 years and retired at the age of 59. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He lived a fulfilling life enjoying his grandson, Darrell. They enjoyed going to the farm, out to eat to their favorite diner, Kaz, and making many amazing memories. He loved and adored his grandson and loved helping take care of him. Vito was married for over 45 years to his beautiful, loving wife Barbara, who were friends since childhood making memories for more than 60 years. He raised two beautiful, strong daughters, Stacy and Sandra. He lived life for his wife, girls and grandson. As a family, they enjoyed life, each other and making incredible memories.

Throughout his life he made many friends who we know will miss him dearly. As a family, we thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. We want all to remember him as full of love, laughter and life. Survivors include his wife, Barbara A. DiGirolamo, daughter Stacy G. DiGirolamo, (James Goldsmith) grandson, Darrell J. Goldsmith, youngest daughter Sandra A. DiGirolamo, (Ana Martinez) sisters, Donna DiGirolamo-Croce, Kim DiGirolamo-Dandreano, Venus DiGirolamo-Bruyn (James Bruyn) Bernadette DiGirolamo-McGraw and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his father, Vito N. DiGirolamo Sr; mother, Adeline DiGirolamo and two brother’s Darrell and Dean DiGirolamo. Services were privately held. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. www.wmgaganfuneralhome.com
